Nachal Sorek ( Hebrew מוֹעָצָה אֲזוֹרִית נַחַל שׂוֹרֵק) is an Israeli regional administration in the central district of Israel . It was founded in 1952 and is located on the Sorek River of the same name . The administrative headquarters are in Jad Binjamin.

economy
In 2010, the Israeli Cabinet approved the construction of the world's largest water treatment and desalination plant in the area of the regional administration . This was put into operation in 2013 and has an output of 150 m³ using the reverse osmosis process . In June 2018 it was decided to build another plant in Sorek, the sixth in total.
