Nachshon ( Hebrew נַחְשׁוֹן, which means "pioneer", English Nahshon ) is a kibbutz , which is located in the north of Bet Shemesh in Israel and belongs to the regional administration Mateh Jehuda in the district of Jerusalem . The kibbutz, founded in 1950, was named after Operation Nachshon . In 2018 the place had 580 inhabitants.
