action
After graduating from college, Kuwar returns to his home village with his friend Sher Singh. There he made the acquaintance of a simple fisher girl named Phulwa from the neighboring village. He immediately falls in love with her and wants to find out more about her. However, their love is not under a lucky star. A few years ago, her family was responsible for the death of Kuwar's father. Kuwar's brother, an influential landowner, doesn't want to hear about his relationship with Phulwa. He concludes an agreement with Phulwa's father: Phulwa is to be married within 8 days so that Kuwar does not approach her any more.
Finally, Phulwa's father organizes a boat race. The winner will marry Phulwa. Kuwar takes part in the race secretly and in disguise and wins. But his game of hide and seek is discovered by the jealous Bala. A fight ensues between the fishermen and the rich landowners. During the tumult, Kuwar and Phulwa want to flee across the Ganges River . Unfortunately, Kuwar is hit by an arrow and seriously injured. The boat gets into a whirlpool and the two lovers drown, but their spirits are still buzzing over the river.
