Nadja Kleinikel (* 7. May 1991 in Dormagen as Nadja Pfeiffer ) is a former German football player .

Career

Kleinikel moved from the youth of VdS Nievenheim to FCR 2001 Duisburg , with whose B-Juniors she became German champion in 2007 after a 1-0 final win against FC Bayern Munich . In her first senior year she played for Duisburg's second team in the second Bundesliga , from where she moved to Bundesliga club SC 07 Bad Neuenahr for the 2009/10 season. On October 31, 2009, she made her first Bundesliga appearance when she came on for Ramona Petzelberger in the game against her former club FCR 2001 Duisburg . For the 2010/11 season she moved to the regional division Borussia Mönchengladbach , who rose to the second Bundesliga at the end of the season. After a year in the second division with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Kleinikel moved to league rivals 1. FC Köln for the 2012/13 season . Here she played for two years and narrowly missed promotion to the first Bundesliga with FC. For the 2014/15 season, Kleinikel moved abroad and signed a contract with PSV / FC Eindhoven, which plays in the BeNe League , the highest joint division of the Netherlands and Belgium. Kleinikel had a successful year at PSV / FC Eindhoven and collected most of the playing time of all players. Nevertheless, she left the club, which was renamed PSV Eindhoven in the following season , after one season back to Germany to switch back to the second division Borussia Mönchengladbach as in 2010.

The 2015/16 season was extremely successful for Kleinikel. After she narrowly failed to get promoted twice with FC Köln, this time she made it to the Allianz Women's Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach . Borussia benefited from the fact that the first-placed TSG Hoffenheim II could not move up because the first team is already playing in the first division. She was also able to achieve great success personally. Again, at the end of the season, she had the most playing minutes of all players in competitive games. In addition, despite her defensive role, she scored 16 goals this season in the league and was thus the top scorer in the second women's Bundesliga south . In the 2016/17 season, Kleinikel played the first ten games of the season over the full distance until she sustained an injury to her knee during the game against MSV Duisburg and was injured for the rest of the season. In the same game, she previously scored her first Bundesliga goal. At the end of the season, Borussia was relegated from the Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga and was assigned to the northern relay of the second women's Bundesliga for the first time . After more than two years of rehabilitation, it became clear that the knee injury he had suffered was so severe that a return to competitive football was impossible. Kleinikel therefore officially ended her career in April 2018.
