Emmanuel Nachschon (other transcription Nahshon , Hebrew עמנואל נחשון; * 1961 in Paris ) is an Israeli diplomat .

Life

After studying law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem , he joined the Israeli Foreign Ministry in 1992 . From 1994 to 1996 he was Second Secretary of the Israeli Embassy in Caracas . Afterwards, Nachschon was responsible for relations with the European Parliament in the Israeli delegation to the European Union in Brussels .

In 1999 he moved to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, initially as a consultant in the Western Europe Department, and from 2000 onwards as Deputy Ministry Spokesman.

In 2002 another assignment abroad followed: Nachshon served as envoy for the Israeli embassy in Ankara .

In 2006 he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he headed the Diplomatic and Civil Law Department.

Since August 2009 he has been the envoy of the State of Israel to the embassy in Berlin and headed it in the absence of an ambassador from November 2011 to March 2012 as chargé d'affaires .
