Nailja Gainulowna Julamanowa ( Russian: Наиля Гайнуловна Юламанова , English transcription Nailya Yulamanova ; born September 6, 1980 in Kuibyshev Oblast ) is a Russian marathon runner .

Life

In 2006 Nailja Julamanowa was the Russian marathon champion in Saransk with a time of 2:30:54 h. At the European Athletics Championships in 2006 , she was twelfth. In 2007 she won the Prague Marathon and came 32nd in the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Osaka . In 2008 she repeated her victory in Prague and won the Istanbul Marathon in 2:30:17. In 2009 she won the Rotterdam Marathon , improving her personal record to 2:26:30. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin , she was eighth in 2:27:08.

At the European Championships in 2010 she came second. After Živilė Balčiūnaitė was convicted of doping, Julamanowa was awarded the gold medal in November 2011.

In July 2012, Nailja Yulamanova was banned from the Russian Athletics Association for two years because of abnormal blood tests that suggest doping , so that she could not start at the Olympic Games in London . All results since August 2010 have been deleted, including the 2010 European Championship. The IAAF banned them until February 9, 2014.
