Nan Hu
The Nan Hu ( Chinese 南湖 , Pinyin Nán Hú "South Sea"), formerly known as Yuanyang Hu (鸳鸯湖 / Yuānyāng Hú "Mandarin Duck Lake") is located in the south of the city of Jiaxing in the Chinese province of Zhejiang .

The lake has a water surface of over 400,000 square meters and a water depth of around two to five meters. Together with the Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing and the West Lake西湖 in Hangzhou, it is one of the three famous lakes of Jiangnan ( Jiangnan san daming hu江南 三大 名 湖). There is a small island in the lake on which the Yanyu Pavilion is located, a popular viewing point.
history
On August 2, 1921, the First National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party closed the agenda for the conference on a boat ( Jiangnan - type丝网 船) in Nanhu and announced the formation of the Chinese Communist Party. Since then, the CCP has considered Nan Hu to be the birthplace of the Chinese Revolution.
The Red Boat from Nan Hu is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-11, 2001) as part of the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China .
