Nancy Kyes

Nancy Luise Kyes (pseudonym Nancy Loomis ; born December 19, 1949 in Falls Church , Virginia) is an American actress.

She gained international fame through her role as babysitter Annie Brackett in the John Carpenter Lasher film Halloween - The Night of Horror from 1978.

Kyes attended high school in Riverside , California , then studied drama at Northwestern University in Evanston , Illinois . Her first leading role followed in 1976; there she played the role of secretary Julie in the thriller Assault - attack at night and was cast by John Carpenter as a new discovery for the film.

In 1978 John Carpenter cast her again with one of the leading roles in his cult film Halloween - The Night of Horror . The role of Annie Brackett was written especially for her. In addition to Jamie Lee Curtis , Kyes established himself in the ranks of the Scream Queen . Two years later followed another supporting role in the John Carpenter classic The Fog - Fog of Horror . In 1982 she played one of the leading roles in the horror film Halloween III . In the film she plays Linda Challis, Tom Atkins' wife. During the shooting of this film, she also met her future husband - the director of the film, Tommy Lee Wallace . The marriage, which was closed in 1982 and has since been divorced, had two children.

Nancy Kyes now works as a sculptor in Los Angeles .
