Nancy Oliver

Nancy Oliver (born February 8, 1955 ) is an American screenwriter . Your screenplay for Lars und die Frauen has won several awards.

Life

Oliver studied literature at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and theater at Florida State University in Tallahassee . There she met Alan Ball and founded a theater group with him, the General Nonsense Theater Company . After graduating, Oliver worked as a writer and director for various theaters in Florida. In 1997 Oliver moved to Los Angeles , shortly afterwards she became a writer on the HBO series Six Feet Under , for which she wrote the scripts and co-produced three seasons.

She wrote the screenplay for a feature film with Lars und die Frauen for the first time and was nominated and awarded several prizes for it. Oliver has been working for the television series True Blood since 2008 .
