Narajiw ( Ukrainian Нараїв ; Russian Нараев Narajew , Polish Narajów ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 1,800 inhabitants (2001).
geography
The village lies on the banks of the Narayivka , a 56 km long tributary of the Hnyla Lypa , and on the T – 20–07 territorial road . The district center of Bereschany is 17 km southeast and the oblast capital Ternopil about 70 km east of the village.
local community
Narajiw was the administrative center of the eponymous, 56.294 km² district council with about 2000 inhabitants in the north of Bereschany Raion , to which the villages Duljaby ( Дуляби ) and Schajbivka ( Шайбівка ) belonged. Since 2019 the village has been the administrative center of the 218.1 km² rural community of Narajiw ( Нараївська сільська об'єднана територіальна громада ) with a total of over 7,000 inhabitants.
