Narcisse-Olivier Kapo-Obou (born September 27, 1980 in Abidjan , Ivory Coast ) is a former French football player .
Career
Olivier Kapo started his career at AJ Auxerre , where he showed strong performances as a young player and became a national player.
In the summer of 2004 he was signed by Juventus Turin , where he was hardly used in his first season under coach Fabio Capello . Therefore, he was loaned to AS Monaco for the 2005/06 season and to UD Levante in Spain for 2006/07 .
On June 29, 2007 Olivier Kapo moved from Juventus to England club Birmingham City for three million pounds . There he stayed only a year and after the descent of the "Blues" Kapo joined the first division club Wigan Athletic , where he signed a three-year contract. During the winter break of the 2009/10 season he was awarded to the US Boulogne . After the six month loan deal ended, he went back to Wigan. In August 2010, the ongoing contract was terminated. Among other things, he completed a trial training at SC Freiburg . On November 4, 2010 he signed a contract with Celtic Glasgow until the end of the season . After further positions at Al-Ahli SC , AJ Auxerre , Levadiakos and Korona Kielce , he ended his active career in 2015.
