Narcissus dubius is a species of plant from the family of the Amaryllis (Amaryllidaceae). According to the classification of the narcissus species by John W. Blanchard , it belongs to the Tazettae section.
description
Narcissus dubius is a very small type of daffodil. On one inflorescence it forms between two and six white flowers that are only 1.5 centimeters in diameter.
Distribution area
Narcissus dubius is distributed between Catalonia and southern France . In terms of gardening, it is not only of little importance because of its small flowers. It needs very dry summer months for its development.
Systematics
The species status of this daffodil is sometimes questioned. Possibly it is a natural hybrid between Narcissus papyraceus and Narcissus assoanus . However, the fact that it can be re-cultivated from seeds from single species speaks for the species status.
