Narendra Bedi

Narendra Bedi (born 1937 in Bombay ; † October 21, 1982 ) was an Indian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Bedi was the son of the writer and film director Rajinder Singh Bedi . After graduating from Bombay University , he began working in the film industry as a screenwriter at GP Sippy's production company . He made his debut as a director in 1969 with Bandhan , a film starring Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz in the lead roles. His second film Jawani Diwani (1972) was very successful commercially and contained Rahul Dev Burman's hit song Tum kahan . Bedi did mostly teen romances in the 1970s.
