Nasrollah Nasehpour

Ostād Nasrollah Nassehpoor , also Nasrollah Nasehpour ( Persian نصرالله ناصح پور; * 1940 in Ardabil ) is an Iranian singer and professor of classical Persian singing . Already as a child he was strongly influenced by Azerbaijani music through his father, the well-known Garmon player Agha Shakour .

After moving to Tehran from his hometown of Ardebil , he enjoyed training from famous musicians such as the Târ player Ali Akbar Schahnazi (1897–1985), the singer Soleyman Amir Ghasemi and the Setar player Sa'id Hormozi .

The great classical Persian singer Abdollah Davami had a far-reaching influence on Nasrollah Nasehpoor's musical development, who has now been active as a widely recognized singer, music researcher and teacher for around 40 years .

In 1996 he founded the Nassehpoor Ensemble with his sons Peyman, Pooyan and Parham . In the same year he performed on a European tour with the Sheyda Ensemble in Cologne , London , Paris , Florence and Venice .
