Wet Almanqour

Nasser Hamad Almanqour ( Arabic ناصر بن حمد المنقور, DMG Nāṣir b. Ḥamad al-Manqūr ; * 1930 in Sudair, Najd , Saudi Arabia ; † August 15, 2007 ) was a Saudi Arabian diplomat .

Life

Sheikh Nasser Al-manqour studied in Mecca and at the University of Cairo . From 1959 to 1960 he was President of King Saud University . From June 11, 1964 to March 7, 1969, he was ambassador to Tokyo and was also accredited to Taipei from March 10, 1965 to 1968 . From 1971 to 1972 he was ambassador to Stockholm and at the same time accredited as ambassador in Copenhagen , Denmark and Oslo . From 1973 to 1978 he was ambassador to Madrid .

On November 22, 1974, CEDADE organized a memorial event for Mohammed Amin al-Husseini , to which Almanqour sent a greeting. In 1980 Nasser Al Manqour was decorated with the Grand Cross of the Orden de Isabel la Católica . From 1980 to 1991 he was Ambassador to the Court of St James’s .

In London he was involved in negotiations on arms imports. With the ambassador from Kuwait, Ghazy Al-Rayes and Iraq, Sadiq Al-Mashat, he successfully intervened against the reporting in the British media about the poison gas attack on Halabja at the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster William Waldegrave, Baron Waldegrave of North Hill.
