The Natal Sharks (dt. Natal Haie ; formerly only called Natal , Afrikaans : Natal Haaie ) are a South African rugby union team. She plays in the Currie Cup and her game operations are organized by the Natal Rugby Union (NRU). The home games are played in the Kings Park Stadium in Durban . The association provides players for the Sharks franchise , which plays in the international Super 14 .
The NRU was founded in 1890. However, the first victory in the Currie Cup came in 1990. Since then, the team has won this title five times, most recently in 2008.
