Natalie Jamalia

Natalie Jamalia (born June 19, 1987 ) is a Jordanian chess player . She played for the Hungarian Chess Federation until 2011 and since then for the Jordanian.

She grew up in Hungary and lives in Budapest . She played club chess for the Hungarian club Lila Futó and until 2018 for the Budapest Hűvösvölgyi Sakkiskola Sport Club , with which she also played in the highest Hungarian league in the 2014/15 , 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons . She was registered with the World Chess Federation FIDE until June 2006 as Natalia Jamalia and from July 2006 to January 2012 as Natalie Jamalia . Since February 2012 she has been there as Natalie Fuad Kamel Jamaliah . At the 2012 Chess Olympiad she was registered as Natalie Fouad .

Since November 2005 she has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). She received the title for winning the Arab U20 Women's Youth Championship in Amman in 2005 .

At the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , she played on the women's board of the Jordanian national team. At the Pan-Arab Games in Doha in 2011, she played on the second board of the Jordanian women's national team. The team finished second behind Algeria. In the individual ranking of the Pan-Arab Games 2011 she finished third behind Zhu Chen and Mona Khaled . At both tournaments she was able to compete for Jordan because they were not organized by FIDE and therefore the right to start for a chess association did not matter. For the Jordanian women's national team, she played again at the Chess Olympiad 2012 in Istanbul , this time on the third board, with a positive result of 5.5 points from 10 games. She played on the second board at the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromsø and on the fourth board at the 2016 Chess Olympiad in Baku .

Her highest rating was in 2072 from January to March 2016; it led the Jordanian Elo ranking.
