biography

Sabijako and Enbert at the EM 2018.

Sabijako was born in Tallinn and ran for Estonia until the end of the 2013-14 season. After the Estonian government refused to accept the request of Sabijako's partner at the time, Alexander Zaboev, to be naturalized in time for the Olympic Games in Sochi , it announced that it would apply for Russian citizenship, which it received in December of the same year.

She started training with Nina Mozer from now on , and at the beginning of the 2015/16 season it was officially announced that she would now run with Alexander Enbert after the Estonian Association had given her permission to change countries. At first they started mainly in the ISU Challenger series and were able to achieve a podium place there in their first season. In the following season they achieved their first podium at a Grand Prix when they were able to classify themselves in second place behind Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot at the Rostelcom Cup .

After winning their first medals at major events at the 2018 Olympic Games silver in the team event and at the European Championship with third place, they also won the bronze medal at the 2019 World Cup .

At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, the couple announced a break from competition due to an injury to Enbert.

Sabijako has been in a relationship with the Russian film director Danil Grinkin since autumn 2018 .
