Natalja Jakuschenko (born March 2, 1972 in Kiev ) is a Ukrainian luge athlete .

Natalja Jakuschenko has been tobogganing since 1982. Since 1987 she has been a member of the Soviet national team and, after the dissolution of the USSR, of the Ukrainian national team. She first appeared at the 1992 Olympic Games and took eighth place in Albertville and two years later in Lillehammer . In 1998 she was eleventh in Nagano . Then she took a long break. In 2006 she started in Turin for the fourth time at the Olympic Games, but crashed in the second round.

2004/05 Jakuschenko had a good year, finished sixth in the overall World Cup and won the overall ranking of the Challenge Cup. She also came third on her training track in Sigulda . She achieved the same result at the race in Oberhof the following season , in Igls she even finished second behind Silke Kraushaar . Jakuschenko had a very good season in 2006/07 . In Winterberg the Ukrainian was third in Sigulda second. She finished fifth in the overall World Cup and second in the overall ranking of the Luge Challenge Cup 2006/07 .

At the 1990 Luge World Championships , she won the bronze medal with the Soviet team. In 2005 she was fifth in Park City and sixth in Igls in 2007 . Jakuschenko finished fourth behind the German starters at the 2006 European Championship in Winterberg .

The 2008/09 season was the most successful season of her career so far. In the overall World Cup she is currently in 4th place, in the Challenge Cup she reached 5th place in the overall ranking. At the 2009 Luge World Championships in Lake Placid , she won the bronze medal in the women's singles.
