The Luge World Cup 2008/09 began on November 29, 2008 in Innsbruck - Igls, Austria and ended on February 21, 2009 in Vancouver, Canada .

The highlight of the season was the Luge World Championships , which took place from February 6th to 8th, 2009 in Lake Placid , USA .
