Viktor Kneib ( Russian Виктор Иванович Кнейб * 19th April 1980 in Bratsk ) is a Russian luger .

Wiktor Kneib has been a luge since 1997 and has been a member of the Russian national team since 1998. The sports teacher and sports soldier from Bratsk has regularly participated in international competitions since 1999. In 2000 he started at world championships for the first time. He achieved the best placement in St. Moritz as seventh with the team. In the 2002 Olympic Games of Salt Lake City , he was Zwanzigster. In the 2004/05 season , Kneib finished tenth in the overall World Cup, in the 2004/05 Challenge Cup he was eighth. The 2005 World Luge Championships in Park City he finished ninth. In 2005/06 he finished sixth in the overall ranking of the Luge World Cup as well as in the Challenge Cup 2005/06 and at the European Championships in Winterberg . Kneib started a second time in the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin and finished eleventh. In the following season he finished the Challenge Cup 2006/2007 fifth, the Luge World Championships 2007 in Igls eighth, 2008 at the European Championships in Cesana 15. In the 2007/08 season in Igls and 2008/09 in Sigulda he was fifth be in world cup races.

The luge skier Wiktorija Kneib is his sister.
