Cosmin Chetroiu
Cosmin Chetroiu (born March 31, 1987 in Petroșani , Hunedoara County ) is a Romanian luge rider .
Cosmin Chetroiu lives in Petrila . He has been sledding since 2000 and has been a member of the Romanian national luge squad since 2003. He drives two-seater together with Ionu fährt Țăran . The duo has been competing in the Luge World Cup since the 2005/06 season . In their first season they finished 16th in Altenberg, their best result so far in a World Cup race. In the overall ranking, they also achieved their best result to date with 23rd place. The first major event in which the doubles took part was the 2006 European Luge Championship in Winterberg . Here they came in 18th in the two-seater competition and ninth in the team competition. At the Olympic Games in Turin , which took place shortly thereafter , they could again be 18th. At the Luge World Championships in 2007 Chetroiu / Țăran came in 25th. At the 2010 Olympic Games , they reached 17th place.
