Raluca Nicoleta Strămăturaru (born November 22, 1985 in Sinaia ) is a Romanian luge athlete .

The student Raluca Strămăturaru lives in Buşteni . She has been tobogganing since 1996 and has been a member of the Romanian national team since 1999. She has been competing in the Luge World Cup since the 2004/05 season . On February 2, 2005 Strămăturaru fell heavily while training for the World Cup final on the Olympic track in Cesana and suffered a broken arm. The race was therefore canceled. Her best result in a single race of the World Cup, she reached 25th in Nagano in the 2006/07 season . Her best result in the overall standings was 26th in the same year. In addition, she achieved with the team in a race in Calgary in eighth a result in the top eight. She achieved the same result in Nagano the following season . At the 2006 European Championships in Winterberg , she finished 27th in the individual and ninth place with the Romanian team. The 2007 Luge World Championships in Igls finished Strămăturaru in 32nd place.

2010 Strămăturaru took part in the Olympic Games in Vancouver , where she reached 21st place. At the Olympic Games in Sochi , she was 30. Four years later, she achieved her best result in an international individual competition with seventh place at the Winter Games in Pyeongchang . At the same time, it was the best Romanian placement at the Winter Games since Lillehammer 1994. Strămăturaru carried the Romanian flag at the graduation ceremony.

Her sister Violeta (* 1988) is also a luge athlete.
