Natalja Nikolajewna Kovtun

Natalja Nikolajewna Kovtun ( Russian Наталья Николаевна Ковтун , English transcription Natalya Kovtun ; * May 27, 1964 ) is a former Russian sprinter .

Starting for the Soviet Union , she won the 200 m bronze medal at the 1989 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest and silver at the 1990 European Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

At the World Athletics Championships in 1991 , she won silver with the Russian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay and reached the semi-finals over 100 meters .

In 1989 she became the Soviet indoor champion in the 60 m and 200 m. After her active time she became a trainer, among other things she looks after Swetlana Nabokina .
