Nate Kazebier
Nathan Forrest "Nate" Kazebier (born August 13, 1912 in Lawrence (Kansas) , † October 22, 1969 in Reno (Nevada) ) was an American jazz trumpeter .
Live and act
Kazebier began playing trumpet at age nine and worked in local territory bands of the Midwest of the US, so with Austin Wylie in Cleveland , Jan Garber and Slats Randall. In 1935/36 he was a member of Benny Goodman's big band , to be heard on titles such as I've Found a New Baby . During this time he also worked with Gene Krupa in his orchestra , then moved to California , where he played with Ray Noble , Seger Ellis ' Choir of Brass (1937) and Spud Murphy . In 1939/40 he was a member of Gene Krupa's first big band and worked with Jimmy Dorsey (1940-43) before he did military service. After his discharge from the army, he worked again for Goodman (1946/47), Johnny Mercer / Paul Weston and then worked as a studio musician in California. In 1947 he made recordings with Ray Bauduc .
