Nathalie de Vries

Nathalie de Vries (* 1965 in Appingedam ) is a Dutch architect and partner in the MVRDV office , currently one of the world's most successful Dutch architecture offices in Rotterdam .

She studied architecture at the Technical University of Delft from 1984 to 1990 . As an architect, she worked at Martinez Lapenas & Torres Arquitectos in Barcelona , DJV Architects Rotterdam and Mecanoo Architects in Delft . In 1991 she founded the architecture office MVRDV in Rotterdam together with Winy Maas and Jacob van Rijs .

Nathalie de Vries has taught architecture at numerous colleges and universities, including the Technical University of Delft , the Technical University of Berlin , the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam and the Architectural Association London . Since 2013 she has been teaching the class for architecture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy .

From 2003 to 2006 she was a member of the design advisory board of the City of Salzburg .
