National Safety Council
The National Safety Council is an American non-profit organization founded in 1913 . It was originally prescribed for occupational safety . Today she tries to prevent preventable deaths in all areas. She also “fights” against the use of cell phones at the wheel . In 1953 the association was given an official role with a congressional charter .
Its headquarters are in Itasca, Illinois . Every year the Green Cross for Safety award is given to a company.
