The Amazon Park of Guiana ( French Parc amazonia de Guyane ) is one of the ten national parks of France and is located in the overseas department of French Guiana in northern South America .
The national park consists mostly of tropical rainforest . Located on the border with Brazil and, to a very small extent, Surinam , it is difficult to access and poorly developed. At the same time, it forms one of the largest forest areas in the European Union . The world's largest tropical forest reserve , the Tumucumaque National Park, is located on the Brazilian side of the state border .
