The national road 10 ( Chinese 國 道 十 號 , Pinyin Guódào qī hào , English National freeway 10 ) is a highway in Taiwan . The highway runs as an east-west route in the south of the island and leads from the Zuoying district in the core city of Kaohsiung to the Qishan district . The length of the road is 34 kilometers.
course
The National Road 10 begins north of downtown Kaohsiung and runs on a bridge with two lanes per lane. After two kilometers, the highway crosses National Road 1 , which is the north-south highway from Taipei to Kaohsiung. The motorway will then have a total of six lanes. The route then runs in a north-easterly direction through the suburb. Further east, the area is wooded and hilly. In the further course of the road the highway crosses the national road 3 , the second north-south highway from Taipei to the south. After that, the highway will only have two lanes per lane and will then lead through quiet rural areas to Qishan. The motorway ends there at an intersection with Provincial Road 3 .

The entire motorway was opened to traffic on November 14, 1999.
