The National Road 7 ( Chinese  國 道 七號 , Pinyin Guódào qī hào , English National freeway 7 ) is a planned highway in Taiwan . The highway is intended to bypass the core city of Kaohsiung to the east and to connect the port in the south of the city and the national road N10in the northern district of Renwu. The planned length is 27 kilometers. The highway should be built in 2016 or 2017. The plans aroused concerns among environmentalists as the highway route is to lead through one of the few green areas in Kaohsiung in Fengshan . So far the motorway is not in operation.
