The national road 8 ( Chinese 國 道 八號 , Pinyin Guódào bā hào , English National freeway 8 ) is a highway in Taiwan . The highway is only 16 kilometers in land and runs in the urban area of the city of Tainan . The highway begins in Annan District , then crosses the highway and the highway
and ends in Xinhua District .
Street description
The highway begins on the provincial road and has 2 × 2 lanes. The motorway runs partly parallel to other roads through a flat area. After crossing Highway 1, the highway runs through the Xinshi district and then crosses Highway 3. At the end, Highway 8 turns into the provincial road
that continues inland.

The entire highway was opened to traffic on August 16, 1999.
