Fengshan ( Chinese  鳳山 區 , Pinyin Fèngshān Qū , Tongyong Pinyin Fòngshan Cyu , Pe̍h-ōe-jī Hōng-soaⁿ-khu ) is a district of the government-direct city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan and covers an area of 26.76 km² with a population of 338,900 ( 2007).

Fengshan was an important administrative center in the Qing Dynasty . After the Japanese military administration began expanding the port of the neighboring city of Kaohsiung in the early 20th century , the importance of Fengshan declined. From 1946 to 2010, Fengshan (since 1972 as "Fengshan City") was the administrative seat of Kaohsiung County . On December 25, 2010, this county was incorporated into Kaohsiung City. Since then, Fengshan has had the status of a district in Kaohsiung City.

Fengshan has been part of the subway network ( Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit ) since 2008 . It is the seat of the Military Academy of the Republic of China .

In 2017, the Kaohsiung National Center for Arts and Culture was completed in Fengshan . There is also the Dadong Center for Art and Culture .
