The Djurstad Träsk nature reserve is a designated nature reserve on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea . The area is designated as a Natura 2000 area .

The swamp is located south of the village of Djurstad in the northern half of the island. The Petgärdeträsk nature reserve connects to the south . The country road runs along the east coast of the island to the west.

The rush edge dominates the chalk- rich wetland . However, the area is known for the bird species that occur, such as the Montagu's Harrier, which can be observed from the observation tower west of the swamp.

An attempt is made to counteract the silting up of the wetland with renaturation measures .
