The nature reserve deciduous forests at the Mun depot (NSG identification GM-130) is located near Wildbergerhütte in the Reichshof municipality in the Oberbergischer Kreis . It has a size of 22.7 hectares . The protective expulsion was performed to obtain and develop a predominantly with Hardwood stocked area in a former ammunition depot of the German Federal Armed Forces as mating area and habitat of bats (particularly greater mouse ear - Myotis myotis).

history

The ammunition depot is a former military property of the Federal Republic of Germany with the designation LwMunDp82 . This was cleared in 2005 . Following the eviction, vandalism and destruction were recorded in the area. In autumn 2011, the Federal Office for Real Estate Tasks intended to sell the depot. In 2014, the discussion was about building a forensic clinic on the site of the ammunition depot. The Citizens' Initiative Reichshof eV also turned against these plans. This discussion was superfluous when the district council of the Oberbergischer Kreis declared the area a nature reserve in April 2014 according to the landscape plan.
