Meng Qingyuan ( Chinese  孟庆 元 , Pinyin Mèng Qìngyuán ; born March 6, 1984 ) is a former Chinese ice hockey player who was last under contract with China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey until 2012 .

Career

Meng Qingyuan began his career as an ice hockey player with the regional team in Harbin , for which he competed in the Chinese ice hockey league since 2000 and was national champion there in 2002 and 2003. Since 2004 he played with the team, which was renamed Hosa in 2006 , in the Asia League Ice Hockey . When his team merged with the Chang'chun Fuao team from Qiqihar , Fu also received a contract for the fusion product China Sharks in Shanghai . In 2008 he went back to Harbin in the Chinese league and again won the championship title there in 2011. After the 2011/12 season, in which he was again on the ice for China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey, he ended his career.

International

For China, Meng Qingyuan took part in the U18 World Championships in 2001 and 2002 in the Asia-Oceania Division I in the junior division. In the senior category, the striker was in China's squad at the World Championships in Division I 2005 and Division II in 2006 , 2008 , 2009 and 2011 .
