Orlebachtal nature reserve

The Orlebachtal nature reserve is a 15.10 hectare nature reserve (NSG) east or south-east of Wocklum Castle in the urban area of Balve in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The NSG was designated for the first time in 1989 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the landscape plan No. 2 Balve-Mitteleres-Hönnetal under the name Orlebachtal nature reserve east of Wocklum, town of Balve . The NSG was re-designated in 2015 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the 2nd amendment to landscape plan No. 2 Balve-Mitteleres-Hönnetal under the name Orlebachtal .

Area description

The NSG is part of Orlebachtals with flood plain . The Orlebach has pronounced brook meanders. The floodplain is occupied by grassland, including wet, humid and poor grassland. Shore trees are located by the stream.

The following species of Community interest under the Habitats or Birds Directive were found: kingfisher , red-backed shrimp and bullhead .
