Naum Schopow

Naum Schopow ( Bulgarian Наум Шопов ; born July 27, 1930 in Stara Sagora ; † April 18, 2012 Sofia ) was a Bulgarian actor.

Life

Shopov played at an army theater for more than three decades before going to the National Theater in Sofia . He also played in many films and was also active as a film director and screenwriter.

He was married to the actress Nevena Simeonowa . His children Christo Schopow and Liza Schopowa also became actors.

At the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 1966 he was honored as the best actor for the film The Tsar and the General . In 1968 he won a Golden Rose with the film Sluchayat Penleve .
