The Nebel , also known colloquially as the Nebelsee , is an elongated lake and is located in the municipality of Lärz in the south of the Mecklenburg Lake District, about ten kilometers southwest of Mirow in southeast Mecklenburg. The Sewekow - Buschhof road runs south of the lake . The lake borders the state of Brandenburg at its southern tip . It has an approximate length of three kilometers and an approximate width of 700 meters. The lake is wider in the north and narrows to the south. The bank is completely wooded, on the western bank is the Buchholzer Heide and on the southeast bank the Krümmeler Heide. The lake is used as a bathing lake and also as a fishing lake. The settlement of Ablage Nebelsee is located on the east bank . The drain to the door is very shallow and a bridge limits the maximum passage height to 2.3 m.
