Nebendorf ( Lower Sorbian Njabodojce ) was a village in Lower Lusatia , which was located in what is now the area of the municipality of Altdöbern in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district . The place was devastated in 1975/76 in favor of the Greifenhain open-cast lignite mine , 46 inhabitants had to be resettled.

Nebendorf was in Niederlausitz between Altdöbern and Drebkau . The place was excavated in 1975 and 1976 for lignite extraction in Lusatia in favor of the Greifenhain open-cast lignite mine. The district of Nebendorf is today in the Altdöberner See .
history
Nebendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1527.
After the Congress of Vienna , Lower Lusatia and thus also the place Nebendorf came to the Kingdom of Prussia . There the place was in the district of Calau (from 1950 district of Senftenberg). On January 1, 1926, Nebendorf was incorporated into Pritzen . As part of the municipality of Pritzen, Nebendorf was assigned to the newly formed Calau district in the Cottbus district on July 25, 1952 .
From 1975 to 1976 Nebendorf was completely excavated in favor of the Greifenhain opencast mine.
