Neferhotep II was an ancient Egyptian king ( Pharaoh ) of the 13th Dynasty ( Second Intermediate Period ), who lived from around 1691 to around 1688 BC. Or from around 1651 to around 1648 BC. BC (see list of pharaohs ) ruled.

supporting documents

The king ruled for three years and a month and an unknown number of days. Two of his statues were found in the Karnak cachette . On the statues he is called Mersechemre and Neferhotep. In the royal papyrus Turin, 7.6 a Mer-Sechem-Re Ined appears and in the king list of Karnak (VI 2) a Mer-Sechem-Re. The identification of these documents as a single ruler follows from Beckerath Ryholt sees two different rulers in these documents.
