Perfect Maat / Justice

Nefermaat was a prince of the ancient Egyptian 4th Dynasty . He was a son of the Neferetkau and thus a grandson of Pharaoh Sneferu . Most likely during the reign of Pharaoh Chephren he held the office of vizier and was thus the highest official after the king. Nefermaat had a son named Snofruchaef ; his wife's name is unknown.

His grave

Nefermaat owns the Mastaba G 7060 in the east cemetery of the Great Pyramid of Cheops . The sacrificial chapel of this grave complex contains reliefs that show the deceased with his son and his wife.
