The Sa Pala Larga necropolis is located in an area with a high concentration of Domus de Janas. Almost 100 are known around Bonorva. Introduced or published in the literature are: the necropolises of Abialzu, Accalzos, Cadreas, Monte Donna, Funtana Elighe, Funtana Su Cannisone, Fruiles, Funtana Tutturche, Furria Cuguttu, Monte Abile, Monte Cannas, Puttos de Inza, San Lorenzo, Sant 'Andria Priu , Scala Mariani and Zuffinu.

The excavations of Sa Pala Larga began in 1996. The discovery of Tomba 7 in 2002 testifies to the importance of the necropolis. The large red spirals on the walls are almost unique on the island ( necropolis of S'Elighe Entosu ). Tomba 7 with a large supporting pillar in the middle was excavated and graphically documented between 2008 and 2009 under the direction of the archaeologist Luisanna Usai. Typical architectural elements are bar imitations contemporary homes (with gable roof ), pillars , pilasters and socket , as in the Sant 'Andria Priu in bas-relief are cut out of the rock.
