Nele Schmitt (born February 11, 2001 in Bliedersdorf ) is a German beach volleyball player .

Career

Schmitt is the daughter of the volleyball and beach volleyball player Silke Schmitt , who became German champion in the hall and in the sand and was a national player. She started her own career at TuS Jork and then played in the offspring of VT Aurubis Hamburg . Then she switched to beach volleyball. From 2015 to 2017 she played various junior tournaments with changing partners. In 2018 she formed a duo with Emily Günter . At the Techniker Beach Tour 2018 , the duo took part in the qualification in Sankt Peter-Ording . In 2019 Schmitt first played with Chenoa Christ and Lea Sophie Kunst . With Anna-Lena Grüne she came ninth on the Techniker Beach Tour 2019 in Nuremberg and came in 13th place in Dresden . Then she played with Paula Schürholz and became German vice-champion of the U20 and U19. In 2020 she played as a substitute for Sarah Overländer in the Beach League for two days .
