The Nella Fjord is a fjord on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . On the east bank of Prydz Bay , it splits the Broknes peninsula into the Lied Promontory and the Fletcher Promontory .
The first aerial photos were taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The crew of a campaign of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions carried out from 1986 to 1987 named them after the research ship MV Nella Dan , with which the crew landed near the Larsemann Hills .
