Nellie & Leslie is a former fishing trawler with gaff rig ( wash smack ), it was built in 1911 in pine on oak by the Worfolk shipyard in Kings Lynn / Norfolk in England. Today's home port is Bremerhaven . Most of the Smack is in Glückstadt on the Elbe.

history

The ship was named after the daughters of the first owner Norris Nellie & Leslie . From 1914 to 1977, became the trawling of clams and crabs in Wash used. After an accident with a steamer, the ship sank in 1934, was salvaged and sold. In 1977 it was deregistered as a fishing vessel in the UK and sold to Denmark. But there it was no longer used as a fishing vessel.

The Nellie and Leslie has been registered in Germany since 1981 and has been converted into a cutter yacht.

In 2005 took Nellie & Leslie at the International Festival of Windjammer (Sail) part.
