Nelly Brodmann
Nelly Brodmann , actually Cornelia Brodmann , from 1903 Nelly Schlar-Brodmann ( November 25, 1863 in St. Gertraud im Lavanttal , Carinthia - after 1903 ) was an Austrian theater actress and singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
Life
Brodmann, the daughter of a mountain and hut director, was asked to sing in public even as a schoolgirl, and it was generally advised that vocal training was undertaken by singing master Johannes Reß in Vienna. She also attended the Vienna Conservatory , which she left with a prize. In 1891 she got her first engagement at the Hoftheater Wiesbaden, where she stayed until at least 1902.
In 1903 she married the pianist and conductor Josef Schlar .
Her further life is unknown.
