Nema Kunku (name variant: Sare Mawndeh [old name]) is a town in the West African state of Gambia .

According to a calculation for 2013, around 36,134 inhabitants live there; the result of the last published census from 1993 was 1208.

geography

The place is located south of the Gambia River . Nema Kunku is located in the West Coast Region , Kombo North District , west of Wellingara on the road to Sukuta . It is therefore on the southern edge of Kombo-St. Mary Area .

Buildings and infrastructure

In February 2020 the Brikama Area Council (BAC) released the newly built market hall for use. The facility has a capacity to accommodate more than 100 salespeople.
