Wellingara is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, around 16,116 inhabitants live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 7,663.
geography
Wellingara, on the south bank of the Gambia River in the West Coast Region administrative unit in the Kombo North district , is on the South Bank Road and on the outskirts of Serekunda . Five kilometers south of the center of Serrekunda and one and a half kilometers west of Abuko .
