The Neo Geo Pocket Color is a handheld console of the sixth console generation from Shin Nihon Kikaku (SNK). It was released in 1999, a year after its predecessor, the Neo Geo Pocket , and was in direct competition with Nintendo's Game Boy Color , which was also released in 1999.
In contrast to the Game Boy Color, however, this 16-bit handheld remained almost unknown in America and Europe.
