The Neozhidannyj Peninsula ( English ; Russian Полуостров Неожиданный Poluostrow Neoschidanny , German 'Unexpected Peninsula' ) is a peninsula on the Knox coast of the East Arctic Wilkesland . It is located in the area of the Bunger Oasis .
Scientists from a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped and named them in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated them into English.
